What should you know before placing a porta potty in Merced?
A porta potty in a Merced street, sidewalk or other public right-of-way needs an encroachment permit from the City of Merced Engineering Department. A unit on private property, such as a driveway or fenced job site, usually does not need one.
- Weather and ground. Merced averages about 96 degrees in July. Close to 100 days a year reach 90 or above, so summer units need shade and extra service.
- Access. North Merced tracts like Bellevue Ranch have HOA rules on driveway items. Check with the HOA and give us the exact lot spot.
Read the California rules and permits guide for job-site and event counts.
Porta potty questions from Merced
Can you deliver a porta potty to a new home site in Bellevue Ranch in Merced?
We can place a unit on your Bellevue Ranch lot. Tell us the street address and where on the lot you want it. A flat spot near the curb but off the street works best. If the unit must sit in the street, you need a City of Merced encroachment permit first. Check your HOA rules too.
Do I need a permit to put a portable toilet on a street in Merced?
A permit is needed when the unit sits in a city street, curb lane, or sidewalk. The City of Merced Engineering Department issues encroachment permits. A unit on private property, such as a driveway or yard, usually does not need one. We can place it so it stays off the public right-of-way.
How often should restrooms be serviced at a summer event in Merced?
Plan on service at least once a day for busy multi-day events in Merced. July highs average in the mid-90s, so units fill and warm up fast. For a one-day event at Applegate Park or Lake Yosemite, one setup and pickup is often enough. Larger crowds may need extra units instead.
Do you deliver porta potties to Bellevue Ranch and Fahrens Park?
Bellevue Ranch and Fahrens Park are on our Merced delivery list along with Moraga of Merced and Los Olivos. Same day when you call before noon, Monday to Saturday. Give the street address or a map pin, and mark the spot with a cone or chalk if you will not be home.
Can I put a portable toilet at Applegate Park for an event?
Applegate Park can take a unit once its office approves your Merced event; ask where a truck may drive. The same goes for Merced County Fairgrounds. We deliver the day before and pick up the next business day.
Do you rent restroom trailers in Merced?
Merced restroom trailer rentals go to weddings, quinceañeras and formal parties, from UC Merced area backyards to Courthouse Park. Each trailer needs a hose and a 110V outlet, or our tank and generator. See trailer specs.
How much does a porta potty cost in Merced?
A Merced quote is built from the unit, your dates, the service plan and the 27-mile trip from Turlock, south on CA-99, about 30 minutes. Events pay one flat price with delivery and pickup; job sites pay per 28 days with weekly cleaning. See the cost guide.
