What restroom setup does a wedding need?
A wedding with 100 guests for 5 hours needs a two-stall restroom trailer, or two deluxe flushing units plus a hand-washing station. A wedding with 150 guests needs a three-stall trailer. Add one stall or one unit for an open bar, and include one wheelchair-accessible unit.
| Guests (5-hour reception) | Restroom trailer option | Portable unit option |
|---|---|---|
| 50 to 75 | 2-stall trailer | 2 deluxe flushing units |
| 76 to 125 | 2-stall trailer (3-stall with bar) | 3 deluxe units + 1 hand-washing station |
| 126 to 175 | 3-stall trailer | 4 deluxe units + 1 accessible + 1 station |
| 176 to 250 | 3-stall trailer + 2 deluxe units | 5 to 6 deluxe + 1 accessible + 2 stations |
Do I need water and power for a restroom trailer?
A restroom trailer needs a garden-hose water connection and one dedicated 110-volt outlet within about 100 feet. Barn venues and orchard settings around Turlock often have neither. In that case, add a water tank and a generator, or choose deluxe flushing units, which need no hookups.
Ask your venue three things before booking: Where can a truck back in? Is there a hose bib? Is there an outlet on its own circuit?
When should restroom units be delivered for a wedding?
Wedding restrooms should be delivered the day before the wedding so they are set, leveled and stocked before vendors arrive. Pickup is the next business day. For a Saturday wedding, expect a Friday delivery and a Monday pickup at no extra charge for those days.
Place units 50 to 100 feet from the dining area, downwind, with a lit path. Turlock evenings can stay above 85°F in summer, so trailers with air conditioning keep guests comfortable.
Wedding restroom questions
Is a restroom trailer worth it over porta potties for a wedding?
A restroom trailer is worth it for formal weddings, long receptions and guests in dresses and suits. Running water, lighting and real flush toilets feel like a building restroom. Deluxe flushing units cost less and fit venues with no water or power.
Can we get an attendant for the wedding?
An attendant can be added for large weddings. The attendant restocks paper, wipes counters and watches supplies during the reception. Ask when you book so it is on the quote.
How far ahead should we book wedding restrooms?
Book 2 to 4 weeks ahead for most dates, and 6 to 8 weeks ahead for spring and fall Saturdays. Trailers are limited and wedding season fills first.
What happens if it rains?
Units stay in place in light rain. If ground is soft, we may place a trailer on a paved edge or use boards under the wheels. Rescheduling is free with 24 hours notice.
